  We live about 3 hours away from Detroit and went visited the Belle Isle Aquarium to kill sometime before a church service. This place is very talked about, and they made it sound super amazing. However when I heard the words aquarium I was thinking more big & lots of fish.
  
  It's a very small place, and most of the fish in there are native fish. There's like maybe 5 that are salt water fish and the tanks are window size. It gets crowded and the place has no ventilation what's so ever so it will get tight and warmer in there.
  
  It's a cute place but definitely not what I expected.
  
  They also have a garden attached which was lovely! I enjoyed that more than the actual aquarium.
  
  It's not a terrible place to visit. It is beautiful but don't expect too much I guess. ☺
